In this two-hour course you will construct and assemble a Test Tube Planter Rack. A test-tube planter rack provides a great start into micro-gardening. With simple construction, this creative project can spruce up your office or living space, and can make a great gift for mom or a special someone.
Course fees include four 8” x ¾” test tubs, wood, and plants!
The suggested plan involves using a housed-joint called a dado (“day-doe”). A small amount of glue is used to reinforce the joint, but fasteners are NOT required (i.e. no nails or screws). The dado joint is efficiently cut using the tablesaw. Participants who are interested in cutting this joint with a handsaw and chisel will be accommodated.
Although all materials are provided, you are welcome to bring your own lumber or plants. Please note the test tube dimensions (8’ x ¾” diameter) when selecting your supplies.
